As you can see, I have made some aesthetically pleasing, I hope, changes to the site. You may have noticed that Maya is growing up. She is now almost 13 months old, and I am assuming she has just about reached her full growth. She now weighs in at almost 70 pounds. Both Judy and I did not know if we would ever love another pup as we did Libby, but we have grown to love Maya dearly - as you may notice from the large number of photos of Maya. The weather is beautiful here today, as it is most days. Everyone have a wonderful Christmas.

Our buddy, Maya is now 8 1/2 months old, and she weighs about 62 pounds. We think she is going to eventually reach 70 pounds, which is the top end of the female collie weight range. Maya looks just like her mother, but she has the frame and body of her father. When she gets tired, she comes into the sunroom, gracefully steps onto the sofa, props her head on one of the arms of the sofa, and looks at you with her beautiful brown eyes. You may be able to detect that we love our "giant" puppy, and are so glad (most of the time) that she has decided to share our life.

Maya came home yesterday 01/20/2006. After a semi-traumatic 5-hour trip home, she seemed to settle right in. That was until bedtime, when all heck broke loose. She did not care to be crated. So she proceeded to scream all night. That's right, ear-pierceing screams. At that high pitch, it's a wonder no glass was broken. She did finally settle down when I moved her to the big crate and stayed in the living room with her, with the light on. Oh and yes, that was at 2:00 A.M. We shall see what tonight brings.
